Introduction to Exercise Foundations
In this active learning series you are invited to follow along with me as we progressively build all the foundational elements that will allow you to age stronger with exercise. We start by covering optimal alignment in both standing and sitting.
As the episodes progress, you will learn how diaphragmatic breathing together with your pelvic floor and deep abdominals work stabilizes your spine, reduces risk of injury and provides you with a rock solid foundation.
Future episodes help you find your neutral pelvis and neutral shoulder blade position. Common dysfunctions of the spine are discussed to help you understand how to stay injury and pain free. Important considerations when participating in aerobic or yoga classes are also covered.
And finally, together we integrate all the foundational elements into routines that build posture, flexibility, strength, and balance.
