This course will introduce you to the foundations of exercise. Topics include: Postural Alignment; Breathing Techniques; Pelvis, Shoulders and Head Positioning; and Balance.
This course includes 12 teaching episodes. Each episode covers either:
An exercise fundamental.
Important theory related to exercise.
An application of the learned foundations applied to a series of exercises.
Course Structure
The 12 episodes are:
Postural alignment fundamentals.
Neck stretches in standing and sitting.
Diaphragmatic breathing fundamentals.
Deep abdominal breathing fundamentals.
Neutral pelvic position.
Neutral shoulder position.
Optimal head and tongue position during exercise.
How to lift weights (using learned exercise foundations).
Standing quad stretch (using learned exercise foundations).
Strength training (using learned exercise foundations).
Weight bearing exercise considerations.
Balance fundamentals.
